The life history of sea turtles makes it both easy and difficult to study them. Sea turtles are marine reptiles but only females come ashore to nest on tropical beaches. So, we know much more about nesting females, eggs and hatchlings, than we know about juvenile and male sea turtles that never come to land. This is evident in our research themes.
